History
The Old Bath Arms in Palmer Street has been a successful restaurant in Frome for over 40 years. Its current owners since 2002 are Tania and Alan Waterland, who have lived and worked in Frome for over 30 years. Previously they ran the Sun Inn on Catherine Hill.
Alan says: Our Head Chef, Jean Pierre, has been with us from the outset. Jean Pierre’s reputation, experience and talent in the kitchen have played a major role in making the restaurant what it is today. We want the Bath Arms to be constantly improving and to this end we completed a major refurbishment in January 08, adding a lounge bar accessed via the car park to begin your experience. We have moved the main dining area to the first floor, which is now fully accessible to all our patrons, and adding the piano bar off Palmer Street. We see our Piano Bar complementing the dining rooms and providing another space where our clientele can take the opportunity to relax in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our acoustic and piano music is focused on providing an intimate atmosphere where you can chat with your friends or just sit back and enjoy the music.
